Structure type and routine maintenance of loader bucket cutting edge and blades
The cutter plate on the bucket is the main cutting edge when the loader bucket is digging materials. Under different working conditions of the loader, different types of cutter head will be selected for the bucket to ensure the working efficiency. At the same time, as an important part of the loader bucket, proper maintenance of the blades is conducive to the long-term use of the bucket.
Position of the blades on the loader bucket.
The loader bucket is generally composed of the cover plate, side plate, baffle plate, knife plate, angle edge and side edge. The blade is at the front position of the lower end of the bucket, and holes are generally reserved on the blades for adding the bucket teeth and auxiliary knife plate. The cladding plate, side plate and baffle plate of the loader bucket for earthwork are usually welded with low-carbon, wear-resistant and high-strength steel plates. The side edge and angle edge are made of high-strength wear-resistant materials. The blade is made of wear-resistant medium manganese alloy steel.
The function of blades to loader bucket
When the loader excavates materials, it uses the whole machine's walking to let the knife plate on the bucket insert into the material pile, and then through the control of boom, rocker and connecting rod to complete the loading of the bucket. In this process, it can be seen that the cutter plate is an important part of the loader bucket to cut in and dig, and complete the loading operation. It is very important to know and understand the cutter plate for the daily maintenance of the loader bucket.
Every time the loader completes the shoveling and loading operation, it will cause wear to the cutter plate. The high-quality cutter plate is helpful for the loader to quickly shovel and load the materials and improve the operation efficiency. From the aspect of manufacturing technology, the forged blade is better than the cast blade. If the blade is heat treated again, the wear-resistant effect is better; from the aspect of element composition, the blade with appropriate amount of Si (silicon), Mn (manganese) and other elements is more solid and wear-resistant.
Common types of cutting edge and blades
Generally speaking, the whole cutting board is often used to dig loose materials, such as sand, coal, gravel, snow and so on. Straight integral cutter board is more common. If the material is hard, V-shaped integral cutter board is often used. Generally speaking, the application range of toothed cutter head is the most extensive, among which straight toothed cutter head is the best and the most common. V-shaped toothed cutter head is used for heavy excavation, such as loading and unloading rock.
Structure of blades
The function of bucket blades is very important, but its structure is not complicated. Now take the most common straight toothed cutter plate on the market as an example to introduce the structure of the cutter plate. In fact, the knife plate is a flat strip of iron, with a length generally between 2-3 meters. Evenly distributed holes can be drilled on the plate body for adding bucket teeth and auxiliary cutter plates.
The section of cutter plate is similar to trapezoid shape, the front end is groove, and the back end is welding surface. The angle and height of the groove can be determined according to the size of the bucket teeth, and the qualified groove can fit the bucket teeth perfectly. If it is an integral cutter plate, the groove will be increased appropriately, and its angle will be increased slightly, so as to improve the wear resistance of the cutter plate. The welding surface is used for welding with the front end face of the bucket clad plate. The welding surface of the knife plate shall be flat and free of other impurities. The width of the knife plate is generally between 200-300 mm, depending on the situation of the bucket.
Some manufacturers will reduce the thickness of the blades deliberately, and use the method of spraying thick paint to cover up the actual thickness. Spray painted blades look beautiful, but durability is less. Therefore, pay special attention to measure the thickness of blade when purchasing loader bucket blades.
Precautions for daily maintenance
If the loader cutter edge is worn to a certain extent, it should be replaced in time. Otherwise, the loader can not overcome the cutting resistance better when digging materials. It is more like hitting materials, producing a strong reaction force on the bucket, which will reduce the service life of the bucket. At the same time, we should also pay attention to the wear of the bucket teeth. The bucket teeth with serious wear should be replaced immediately.
When the loader is digging hard materials such as rock, in order to protect the bucket cutter plate better, the auxiliary cutter plate is also installed at the bottom of the cutter plate to reduce the wear of the cutter plate. When selecting the auxiliary cutter plate, pay attention to the hole position and hole diameter of the cutter plate can completely coincide.
Summary: a blades seems a little inconspicuous to the whole loader, many people ignore its existence, but the knife plate is an important part of the loader to control the bucket to cut into the material for digging, and reasonable selection and maintenance of the knife plate is of great significance to extend the service life of the bucket and the whole machine.
