Operating Regulations and Notices for Excavator Extended Long Reach Boom and Arm

Excavators are very important for engineering construction, you all know very well, it belongs to heavy machinery and equipment, and now it is more common to use excavator elongated long boom and stick to carry out construction, because it has some high operational performance, but in the process of use, we must pay more attention to some details, and then I will introduce it to you below.

1. Because the elongated boom and arm of excavator is longer, heavier and more inertial than the standard arm, it is lighter to operate than the standard arm. The operation process should be smooth. The action should not be too fast or too violent, and it is not suitable for emergency braking.

2 .The capacity of excavator bucket shall be allocated and used according to the factory standard. It is strictly forbidden to replace the bucket with large capacity.

3. The excavator's working and walking ground should be smooth and firm. The soft ground should be padded with sleepers or pads. In marsh areas, roadbed treatment should be done first, or special Caterpillar swamp shoe plate should be replaced.

4. Before use, the driving wheel of the crawler excavator should be placed behind the working surface.

5. When leveling the work site, excavator bucket shall not be used for sweeping or for compacting the ground.

6. Excavator operation, except loose soil, its maximum excavation height and depth should not exceed the mechanical performance requirements. In backhoe operation, the distance between the track and the edge of the working face should be greater than 2.0m.

7. The key inspection items before operation should meet the following requirements: complete and effective lighting, signal and alarm devices; fuel oil, lubricating oil and hydraulic oil meet the requirements; reliable connection of articulated parts; no leakage of hydraulic system.

8. When working, the excavator should keep the horizontal position as far as possible, brake the walking mechanism and tighten the crawler track.

9. When encountering large hard stones or obstacles, excavation should be done after removal. Stones, frozen soil or biting with single bucket teeth should not be broken with buckets.

10. When excavating cliffs, protective measures should be taken. No edge and loose big stones should be left on the working surface. When the danger of collapse is found, the excavator should be disposed of immediately or withdrawn to safety zone.

11. When working, we should wait for the fuselage to stabilize before digging. When the bucket does not leave the working face, we must not make any actions such as turning and walking. Rotary brake should be used in rotary braking, and reverse braking of steering clutch should not be used.

12. Shake up and down should not be too violent. When falling, it should not collide with frame or crawler track.

13. When excavator long reach boom and arm are lifted and rotated, they shall not touch the wall of the hole, the side of the groove or other objects.

14. When the expansion of the hydraulic cylinder reaches the limit position in operation, it should move smoothly and not collide with the limit block.

15. When braking is needed in operation, the transmission valve should be placed in a low speed position.

16. When unexpected change of excavation force is found in operation, the machine should be stopped for inspection. It is strictly forbidden to adjust the pressure of distribution valve without finding out the cause.

17. The pressure gauge switch shall not be opened during operation, and the operating handle of the working condition selection valve shall not be placed in the high-speed position.
